i established the visual aesthetic and directed the pilot for the reimagining of the cult tv series “unsolved mysteries.” the series is the first doc/narrative hybrid for netflix studios and is produced by the original creators and 21 laps (“stranger things”). the 10-episode series honors the spirit of the original, while bringing a modern, eerie, and elegant new look & feel.
unsolved mysteries premiered in 2020 and was netflix’s most watched series in the world for its first 10 days.
before the film went into production, netflix hired me to shoot a 2-day test, to set the look & feel of the series.
